Raising funds to build our entry is a major part of carnival. Over the years we’ve been involved with lots of different initiatives from stewarding at Glastonbury Festival to mouse racing to quiz nights.

Quiz Nights

Monthly quiz nights – 8 question rounds plus a picture round. Food and drink available. Join us in the bar at Prattens Sports and Social Club, Westfield, BA3 4BD.

Annual Summer Fun Day

Every year in July we hold an free summer fun day for all the community with a variety of stalls, fairground rides, vintage vehicles, refreshments and displays from local community groups. This usually takes place in the field at Prattens Sports and Social Club, Westfield, BA3 4BD.

Baby and Childrens Table Top Sales

During the autumn each year we hold a baby and children’s table top sale – a chance for local parents and families to offload some outgrown clothes and toys! We also provide a free childrens craft area (so parents can browse in peace) and tea, coffee and cakes. Held in the hall at Prattens Sports and Social Club, Westfield, BA3 4BD.

Stewarding – Glastonbury Festival, Wessex Truck Show, Bath Half Marathon and others

One of the areas where we do the most fundraising is stewarding at local and regional events. Looking after residences in Pilton village during Glastonbury Festival each year can be full-on but is lots of fun for all the club. We also help at Wessex Truck Show which takes place in Yeovil during August each year and marshal at sports events such as Bath Half Marathon and Midsomer Norton Triathlon. 

Fundraising Games Stall

In the run up to Christmas and also during the summer months, we have a “prize every time” pocket money games stall which we take to local events such as school fetes and town fayre days. As well as providing some fun for local children and families, it’s also a chance to advertise the club and attract new members and supporters.

In the past we’ve also run bingo nights, fluffy pig and elephant racing, wedding & party bars, ladies nights, Christmas shopping evenings, taken part in sponsored swims, run cabaret nights, organised coach trips to London and run mouse racing and we’re always open to any other new fundraising ideas.
