Welcome to Aliens Carnival Club, Midsomer Norton’s only feature carnival club.
Each year we fundraise and build a float (or cart as they are more commonly known) to take part in the Somerset carnival season.
We’re a small but friendly club, with members ranging from 8 to 67 (and several younger “helpers”!).
New members are always welcome; take a look around our site, come and see us somewhere (check our our events listing) or just pop along to a meeting!
Well that’s all folks til next year – the float has been safely stowed away, light bulbs have been removed and the dismantling and destruction has begun.
We had a great year; we never set out to compete and win the top prizes, after several years of missing Bridgwater Carnival our main aim was just to be there, enjoy the moment and have lots of fun – which we certainly did!
However, just because carnival season is over doesn’t mean there isn’t still work to be done – as well as cleaning, tidying and clearing there’s also the important jobs of fundraising, recruiting new members, our AGM (16th Dec, 8pm at Prattens Social Club), our Christmas Party and developing our theme for 2019!
As the saying goes, “Carnival is for life, not just for Christmas November” 😀
It’s not long now til our first carnival of 2018 – Bridgwater Carnival on Saturday 5th November.
Lots of hands have been busy building, wiring, painting, fixing and cleaning – all fortified with tea and cake along the way. We’ve also been dancing away learning all the moves to our new music for this year.

Baby & Childrens Table Top Sale

Looking for some winter clothes for your little one? Or perhaps pick up some treasures for those Christmas stockings!
Come along and pick up a bargain or two at our table top sale. Lots of sellers, cafe on site selling tasty cakes and a free childrens craft activity table to keep those little hands occupied while you look round.
Entry: Adults 50p, Children free
Overflowing toybox? Bulging wardrobe?
Sellers tables are just £7.50 and the table is included in the price. Organise your table however you want (bring a rail if too you’d like) and keep 100% of your takings.
A small number of business tables are also available at £10 per table (with the table included in the price).
