Aliens Carnival Club

Welcome to Aliens Carnival Club, Midsomer Norton’s only feature carnival club.

Each year we fundraise and aim to build a cart (or float as they are often known) to take part in the Somerset carnival season.

We’re a small but friendly club, with members ranging in age from 8 to over 60 years.

New members of all ages are always welcome; take a look around our website, come and see us somewhere (check out our events listing) or just pop along to a meeting and say hello!

Well that’s all folks til next year – the float has been safely stowed away, light bulbs have been removed and the dismantling and destruction has begun.

We had a great year; we never set out to compete and win the top prizes, after several years of missing Bridgwater Carnival our main aim was just to be there, enjoy the moment and have lots of fun – which we certainly did!

 

However, just because carnival season is over doesn’t mean there isn’t still work to be done – as well as cleaning, tidying and clearing there’s also the important jobs of fundraising, recruiting new members, our AGM (16th Dec, 8pm at Prattens Social Club), our Christmas Party and developing our theme for 2019!

As the saying goes, “Carnival is for life, not just for Christmas November” 😀
